A college student, DeShawn L. Wilson, has been charged with two counts of burglary with a firearm and two counts of attempted robbery. Wilson allegedly entered two Louisville drugstores armed with a handgun and attempted to rob the businesses of money and drugs.
Other staff members entered the stores and fought with Wilson before his arrest. No injuries were reported. A loaded.380 caliber handgun was found in his backpack. The student was subsequently arrested at Louisville High School.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the case to contact the University Police Department. Wilson was being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
